stuudiousminds:

hey everyone! so today is New Year’s Eve and that means that 2016 is just around the corner! that being said, I wanted to supply my share of advice for this coming year.

setting goals;

  • if you were unsatisfied with something that you could have changed during 2015, then make 2016 the year to change it!
  • when setting a goal, making it broad means you might be intimidated to start working towards it. in this case, set smaller goals that are all committed towards that one big goal that you want to accomplish (this is like having sub tasks for your main tasks in a bullet journal if you want to think of it that way)
  • keep working at it. if there’s something that you want to accomplish, you won’t get anywhere by just sitting and doing nothing.
  • here’s more information for setting goals if you want to look into this more!

planning;

  • setting up a new bullet journal/making a new 2016 spread might be useful for you
  • if you want to stay on track, having a bullet journal will allow you to know what you need to do and it can also help you to remain accountable for your work
  • here is my bullet journal tag for inspiration + here is the official bullet journal site if you want to check that out
  • having a new 2016 calendar can also be beneficial when planning your tasks in the new year
  • @studyign recently posted a video about prepping for the new year as well if you want to check that out as well! (highly recommend it)

how you think;

  • having a positive mindset can be very important when the new year is here
  • especially if you have something you want to accomplish, telling yourself that you can’t do it is very detrimental to your success and your own health as well!
  • motivation is always something I’ve struggled with but being a part of the studyblr community has helped me find ways to combat that
  • a lovely infographic about being motivated to study (but I think this can apply to other things as well)
  • when you’re trying to do something, it’s also important that you are feeling good too
  • sleep is super important! of course if you’re with family and friends, allow yourself that quality time but make sure that you can balance your sleep schedule as well.
  • if you’re feeling stressed about the new year or anything you want to accomplish then let it out. let yourself feel better, however you prefer to do that.

I hope this helped some of you find some ideas for this coming year! if you have questions feel free to message me ^-^
